Collar necklace

The term collar, originally from French, simply translates as necklace or necklace jewellery. Nevertheless, there are a few differences between the two types of necklaces that should be noted. While the necklace often consists of several interlocking links, the collar necklace is made of one piece. This jewellery is also usually worn tightly around the neck and is a little more extravagant than the normal necklace. But longer, simpler collars necklaces are also becoming increasingly popular and are often found, especially in a Y-shape. These necklaces come in a wide variety of designs and materials, such as gold, silver and stainless steel. Depending on the era, it was either simple and restrained in design or more conspicuously set with gemstones and pearls. These were then perforated and threaded on so that a coherent chain was created. The most common way to fasten a collar necklace is with a lobster clasp. The focus of this type of jewellery is mainly on the neck and the décolleté, so it goes well with festive occasions and dresses. A collar necklace creates an eyecatcher that never is out of fashion.
