The cord chain is a certain type of chain that is characterized by a special process according to which its links are assembled. The basic form of this chain is an advanced form of the classic anchor chain. There are three individual chain strands, which are linked together in the cord chain. The three components are twisted together in such a way that ultimately a single chain is created. The typical variation of the cord chain consists of three strands, but there are also designs in which it consists of two, four or more elements. Each chain strand is an anchor chain made of oval links. The wire used for this is usually made of gold or silver alloys and can be woven in various thicknesses to form a cord chain. For cord chains, the spiral shape, in which the respective anchor chains are woven into a whole, is just as characteristic as their very own shine, which is created by the numerous polished edges of the anchor chains. In addition, the filigree chain can hardly be felt on the skin due to its braiding, which makes it super comfortable to wear.
