Cocktail Ring

There are no limits to the design of cocktail rings for jewellery designers. Such a ring can, for example, depict an animal motif or a flower and shine in dazzling colours. Despite their diversity, cocktail rings have certain characteristics in common: their opulence combined with their conspicuousness. In most cases, a large gemstone is responsible for this. Cocktail rings first came into fashion in America in the 1920s - during the prohibition of alcohol. Not everyone simply accepted this ban. They resisted and celebrated illegal cocktail parties. While they drank their cocktails with pleasure, women set a sign with a huge ring on their finger - a self-confident statement for enjoyment and luxury. This is the reason for the name cocktail ring. The cocktail rings have retained their statement character to this day. The cocktail ring is a true all-rounder, because it enhances every outfit and can be worn on the most different occasions. Due to its size it can hardly be overlooked - and it shouldn't be! Whether with the little black dress or to jeans and T-shirt, a cocktail ring is an absolute eyecatcher. Today, the cocktail ring is no longer necessarily associated with luxury. It is available in the most different price segments, both with gemstone trimming and with Murano glass, Swarovski crystal or synthetic gemstones.
